I thought it might be fun to see how many different ways one can incorporate a fitness activity into your life without a "workout" or a ride, or speficially doing errands on a bike...

I take stairs whenever possible, and I park on the far side of a parking lot. At a multiple shopping stop, I don't move the care from store to store, I take things back and then go finish. I stretch while watching TV

any other good ideas?

I sometimes do exercise or weight-lifting breaks during TV commercials. As I get older, I find I'm getting alot of exercise going up and down the stairs because I forget things!

Sometimes, if I find myself home alone for a couple of hours I put a favourite CD on the stereo, crank up the volume and have crazy half-hour dance session. Not exactly organised exercise but certainly gets the blood pumping round.

However, with my dancing this is definatley not one to do with an audience...:D

How about drinking one more glass of water or taking 15 minutes to meditate??

Oh yeah .. and let's not forget those Kegel exercises!

Anyone ever heard of "T-Tap"? It's a way of incorporating a "work-out" while just walking thru your day. "Tuck Butt, stomach in, shoulders back, knees forward...........no---big---toe..." If anyone has seen the videos, they'll be laughing! She says that thru-out the entire video.

Look up her site, you'll find a lot of stretches and movements that decrease fat and increase muscle with no soreness.

So, while I am walking around my day, I try to remember her techniques and movements.

Also, when I do something like clean the house, work in the yard or anything physical at all, I try to do it with "vigor" I guess you could say. Try to sweat a little.
