Did a cursory search to see if this has been discussed, but didn't find anything.

Has anyone used this product? If so, what is your opinion?

I have been using it (currently on my second bottle). It's hard to tell if it is making a difference or not, since most of our stuff was not new. Everything is clean, but I was hoping for a big difference in the smell of our work out attire. Old running shorts still have that faint waistband fragrance. I'm going to keep using it in hopes that new stuff will smell better longer. I do like the way using it has made me change my laundry habits. I now do a separate load of only workout clothing. Before, I just mixed in with whatever category was appropriate, whites, darks, etc.

It's marketing hype for technical fabrics. You get the same results for less money by using a scoop of Oxiclean with regular laundry soap.

On the same note, if you are a woolite user, switch to baby shampoo. It's less harsh, and much cheaper. Woolite disguises its harshness with lots of conditioners.

If your stuff is really stinky, here is the famous Stinky Bike Gear recipe:
Soak in "Biz" overnight, at least 12 hours. this is an enzyme
based presoak that goes after organic matter, not your regular presoak.
Then, rinse that out and then run through the wash with a laundry product
called Oxyclean, which is not an detergent it's an additive. You should be
able to get that at any supermarket.

They don't sell it in our area. But I am going to try the oxiclean. My dh's cycling clothes get so smelly! My always smell fresh as a daisy!

Thanks for the advice, Irulan. I will stop at the store on the way home. I know they have Oxiclean. Not sure about Biz, but I'm sure I can find it somewhere. I'll give your "recipe" a try this weekend.

If you're looking to get that bad smell out of your laundry, just add a cup of plain white vinegar to the rinse water. I know it sounds ridiculous! :eek: But it works! No, you won't end up smelling like a salad. For some reason, the vinegar neutralizes odors. I have a gallon bottle in the basement next to my washer just for that purpose.

Speaking of Woolite...I found out you can use liquid fabric softener instead of wallpaper remover to get wallpaper off the wall. Well, I didn't have any fabric softener last weekend, but I had Woolite! It works, too!

Just put a tsp or so in a spray bottle with some water, score the paper and spray it on.
