I know what you mean...My DH gets the house all to himself several times a year when I take rode trips to visit sister or GF in other states, but I never get the house all to myself. He enjoys his "time alone" and I enjoy my road trips, so I guess were equal...Have joyful time....:p

Back packing trip got cancelled due to rain. Oh well! We need the rain so bad I can not complain except for the fact that I won't get any riding in this week.

DH and I run a business at home together- are together pretty much all the time (and we like it that way!).
One time he went on a trip for 2 days and I was going to be ALONE! I went out and rented about 8 of the "worst" tearjerker and chick flick movies that I'd always wanted to see but that he never would be able to stand watching. I stocked up on popcorn and had myself 2 all-evening film festivals in bed....it was great!! :p :p :p

Obviously this is not an important issue, but I'm curious about the gf he was supposed to do an overnight backpacking trip. gf = girlfirend doesn't it? He was going backpacking with a girlfriend?

Lisa - I have a list of movies I plan to watch one day if dh and I are ever apart. We're like you two though - love being together and always are together. We even work together although not in the same classroom :)

Yeah, the same!
My office is upstairs at home, his office is downstairs. We can communicate about work issues during the day in 3 different ways:
1) Phone each other (we have 2 phone lines)
2) email each other- (we do this all the time)
3) step into the hallway where there is an open grate heating vent between the floors and talk through it- you can see plainly through the grate too. This is especially appealing when I'm wearing a dress. :D

LOL, on wearing a dress!
Dh and I share an office. We each have an L shaped desk and they take up the end of the room. I sometimes email him or invite him to chat even though he's close enough to touch. :)

We work together, too, and yesterday my DH left for 4 nights to visit his parents in Palm Springs for his father's 80th b'day. Yahoo!!! They all thought I was so wonderful to opt to stay at home and run the business so that he could go. Works well for all of us!

Thanks for the clarification! I just assumed you guys had an open marriage, but didn't say anything cuz its not for me to judge what works for other people.........

I meant good friend. a big guy buddy!
we have to be careful with our acronyms here! with some, I just figure it's me not keeping up, but with others, that are the same as others, like GF!!!!!
thanks for straightening us all out (big sigh of relief)

when i was married my hubbie would disappear every weekend, bliss!id indulge in a 3 min sob, play some really girlie ABBA,sing, eat beans on toast, neglect the washing up,watch utter trash on the tv,and savour each of the 48hrs of being totally ME.Oddly now im single i dont think i really do any of these things

Well, I'm curious, because my bf/dh/so (together for 14 yrs, co-habited for 13, have a son, not married, so what do I call him?...) has both male and female friends that he goes on skiing and climbing trips with: can you call a guys female friend a girlfriend, like I call my female friends girlfriends?
Don't get me wrong: I'd wouldn't be thrilled if he wanted to go on an overnight trip with *only* this (very attractive, funny and smart...) female friend, but he does go climbing with her afternoons, and I'm fine with that :) I do the same, have both male and female friends but I wouldn't go on an overnight trip with just a male friend without discussing it at home. I do for fieldwork trips though.
I'm on a tangent here. ;)

I tried to go back and edit my first post there but could not.
I totally trust my hubby and if he wanted to go back packing let's say with my best girlfriend I would trust them. But at the same time I don't think so! One of you said something about they thought I had an open relationship and it was not thier place to say anything. That was very funny! Thanks for the laugh!
I do not share my man with no other women. Nope not ever gonna happen, besides I am the only women he needs or wants. As far as I know. (lol)
I will watch what I write! Sorry for all the hub bub! Oh no how many have read the first post without reading more. And now think i am in some wierd perverted relationship? No offense to anyone who is perverted!
I hang with guys too. But the two guys I am aloud to go out with without my dh are both gay! But now can he go out with them? Hmmmmmm? Can he go back packing with them? Interesting. I trust him, I don't know about them? They always say how cute my dh is. Nope don't think i would let him.
Now If I went back packing with a gay girlfriend he would not let that happen unless he was there. Yea he is a bit of a perv!
Sorry if this offends anyone!

can you call a guys female friend a girlfriend, like I call my female friends girlfriends?
 :D You've found a need for new definitions:
ff: Female Friend (which is a non-SO GF)
mf: Male Friend (which is a non-SO BF)
Of course, now that I'm thinking of it:
DDBF: Darling Daughter's Boy Friend
which should not be confused with:
DDMF: Darling Daughter's non-BoyFriend Male Friend
The possibilities are limitless.
:o :o Mr.Silver hands the controls back to the pilot and apologizes for the hijack.:o :o
Brandi: You're Cool and a Good Sport;) ;) I think it sounds like you and hubby have a wonderful relationship and I appreciate you letting us have a little fun with your post:D :D :D
