So I'm thinking as I get on the bike this morning... "Hmmm... isn't this the same new bra ... that let me know that a D cup doesn't cut it." I mean, I'd spent most of that training video with wild roaming canteloupes, eternally grateful that there was nobody next to me and that I didn't get a black eye.
Oh, but it's okay... I've got that load of laundry in the bag.
Except it's ten minutes before time to leave and there is no alternative in the bag. There's that beer that I *knew* I brought from my house to where I was house-sitting and couldn't find. Oh, dear. No bra.
Ah, but there is ductape.
So I get down to the bike shop, duck into the rest room with my rainbow jersey (thanks for that link to primal! I love it!) and just like a movie star I stuffed those canteloupe in their bags and laid a strip of ductape down on each one.
It worked!!!
Now, let's hope I can get it off...but my daddy the physicist taught me how to peel off masking tape without taking the paint off 'cause you want those forces to be going in the perpendicular direction...

Oh, and this just in!! Genuine technology ... I am told that if your straps are digging into your shoulders... just google Intimates Nordstrom Comfy Straps . They work and they cost too much but they're cheaper than a bra...

I REALLY want to know how the removal goes...

Yeah, I kept an umbilical hernia under control with duck-tape in my last pregnancy. (*The* last pregnancy - I don't mean to imply that I breed like I bleed)
Great stuff - good luck with the removal. I had red skin in all directions as each time I would tape it different (up and down or side to side).
It really is an emergency-only thing tho'.
Makes for a great story however!

Now That made me smile!!! I have been "blessed" as well (enough to merit reduction surgery at age 17) I now float between a C & D...

at my wedding my bridesmaid had to make a mad dash to the store for little nipple pasties cause you could slightly see thru the dress...she did not have a strapless bra...let alone really "needed" one. I have always needed a strapless bra...not that they actually do ANY support whatsoever, so now I wonder...

Where can I get "nude" shade of ductape??? Does it come in light, medium, & dark??? Who do I talk to about this?

Bouncy - I have seen duct tape in colors - not sure about nude, but definitely colors so maybe something close. Check your local Lowes or Home Depot....& good luck!

Removal was completely painless... all that perspiration and shifting around, perhaps, but the stuff almost fell off. SInce that particular flesh can be squished around a lot anyway, it would have been easier than something more muscular.
(Now to find that DD that I bought on my road trip... it's somehwere... to see if that works better...)
I have to wonder about any poor souls who saw me duck into the restroom with jersey and big roll of ductape... and heard the tell-tale tapey sounds...

Love it! Great story. Glad it ended well.
However, let me issue a word of warning about putting duct tape on your body: Don't put it on your hair.

I started to type out the story to this, but it's just too embarrassing (and takes too long). We were all younger and stupider once, right?

Yes, Redcanny, but NOW, I am imagining all sorts of crazy things about you; duct tape and covered hair!

Heheh.

Ok, I'm humble enough: I played a 2nd row/lock/#4 in rugby. People who play that position can find themselves dealing with torn ears (like wrestlers) if they aren't protected, so most of us would tape our ears back. The usual electrical tape wasn't available, on that particular fine morning.

Ouch Ouch Ouch... actually, that was my first thought: this might work, I don't have hair there... followed by "and it will solve my problem *with* a good story, so if it hurts I won't do it *again...*" (but I know those movie stars used tape... maybe not ductape...)

Wow, I feel for you gals with "canteloupes", must be hard to keep them in line when doing sports...makes me wonder about all those poor women who buy themselves big implants (and glad to be in the "oranges/tangerines" section!)

There IS duct tape for your boobies. My son sells it in his shop. I just can't remember the name of it right now.

I thought of buying some just on principle.

Milk duct tape?

SNORK!!!!

I knew from how quickly I thought of using it that I'd already been fed the idea... and vaguely recollected that the way those folks at the awards ceremonies don't have whatever they called it at the Superbowl Halftime show when the boobs fell out was to tape things down.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it let go, though I kinda figured it would have given me little tuggy pains when I moved if it were going to hurt a lot to take it off.

There are good bras for sports out there (and cycling is 'way better than jogging)... but I don't have a lot of them and lots of them are kinda mashy and I don't want to wear 'em at work and they give me back pains if I wear 'em all the time.

Boy, I could have USED some "milk duct tape" when I was nursing my two daughters. I'd be going down the supermarket isle in full winter clothes with baby in the cart, and if they started crying, my brain would send the green light message to my boobs and the milk would start dripping enthusiastically, regardless of the time and place or convenience. Milk duct tape would have been perfect. As it was, I had to use the old nursing mother's trick of "casually" crossing my arms and pressing them over the "spigots" until they calmed down again. :D
