I hate cold...I hate snow.
It's amazing to see the students at IU on their bikes in weather like this. They're almost always wearing light jackets...oh to be young again.

Lifesgreat, what part of Utah? We've done quite a bit of skiing up around Park City.

It is 14 F right now, but was below 0 F this morning. On the time/temp board on the way to work, it was 1 F. Some Utah cities didn't even get above 0 yesterday. Thank heavens it is a dry cold rather than a humid cold. Yesterday the time/temp board -15 C. brrrrrrr.
I live about 35 minutes south Salt Lake City. Park City is about an hour east/northeast of me.

Hey,
I hear your whinge from the Northern Hemisphere..
It's not too hot here in Perth today, it's only 26c..blue skies & ahhh so lovely.
Although the high temps might be nice, please think of the firefighters from Aust/NZ/Canada/ US fighting the blaze in central Victoria. Not only that but the power went out in Melbourne because of it yesterday.
Build a snowman for me & i'll go to the beach for you.

Last week we had a tornado down the road and F2 desroyed a house and damagedmany others-trees just twisted and dropped everywhere, this past weekend it was 70 and lovely, Now it's 30's, cold, mix rain & snow w/possible ice tomorrow night. I feel for all you midwest folks stuck in the ice storm. My thoughts are w/ you. Keep warm. Jennifer

I think the northerners need to take their weather back. Here in southeast Texas it hasn't gotten above 30 F for 3 days...normally we're in the high to mid 60s (F) for the high temps. We've had an ice storm and can't go anywhere...Luckly DH ordered trainers that should arrive Thursday if Fedex is still running.

37 degrees here in northwest Florida!!! I'm loving it, actually, but I don't have the gear to cycle in these temps. Maybe later this afternoon when we get up to balmy 50 degrees.
Dallas, TX here.
It's snowing and iced over.
SNOW DAY!

A whopping 2 degrees this morning in western Massachusetts, but NO snow! I want to cross-country ski at least once this winter.

I'm with you Lifesgreat!!! We have been in the deep freeze too long. I have stuff in the garage, bursting because of the temps...luckily non of the pipes in the house have gone that route. I can't commute on my bike in temps like these, but I do walk a good share of my commute to work these days. The afternoon temp will hopefully break 20F today

It's humid here.
It's 29 degrees Celcius today and tomorrow in brisbane. That's pretty COOL for january. Normally The courier mail would be posting RECORD BRISBANE TEMPERATURES for this time of year. Oh well.
All I know is that I ride to work as easily as I can and I still need a shower when I get there cause I'm sweating so much.

Nice mild day today - a relief from a short run of 30'+ days...
Just sitting on a comfortable 21' in the shade here... lovely

It was 6 F when I went to work this morning at 6:15. Whopping high temp of 19 in Boston today. The ice storm went just 20 miles north of here. Winds are howling. It's supposed to get a bit warmer tomorrow (30s, which is fine with me) and SNOW Friday. If it's winter, I want snow (but please, weather Gods, make it enough to have a snow day so I don't have to drive in it!).
My son just drove from here to his new base in San Diego. He basically ran into the ice sorm the whole way and had to hole up in Abilene for 2 nights. He said it was like a war zone on the highway, bodies that had been ejected out of crashed cars, semis off the road, people driving way too fast. People actually tried to get him to sell them his super sized New England type ice scraper...
