Does anyone know where I can find a list of upcoming century rides across the country? I used to have a link to such a site, but now the link has gone defunct.

I don't know of a site which lists centuries across the country but if you are looking for one in the Louisville, Kentucky region check out http://louisvillebicycleclub.org. The LBC typically host at least 2 centuries each month and all are welcome to particpate (you do not have to be a club member or a MadDog).

Out here we've got www.mikebentley.com who puts up the rides in the midwest. Don't know if he's got links to other ride lists.

I've never tried to look at schedules across the country, but maybe active.com would have such a feature?

Here's a pretty comprehensive site for California:

The above is for the MD/VA/DC/PA area and is (should be) updated as events are discovered/submitted. Check it every so often for updates and local rides.

Here's the link to the Florida Bicycle Association's calendar. It lists some rides in Alabama and Georgia as well as Florida:

Is pretty complete and has the whole country, I think some Canada, too.

That's a starting point, but don't overlook checking the web sites of bike clubs that are active in the area where you'd like to ride a century.

Just out of curiosity, I checked this ride list against the century rides scheduled by the Charles River Wheelmen (http://www.crw.org). They have 4 centuries planned for 2007, and none of them are in the list. I also checked for the Granite State Wheelmen's Seacoast Century (http://www.granitestatewheelmen.org/SCC/SCC-HomePage.htm), and that one is missing too. Both of these are very active clubs in the northeast, and these centuries are run every year - they aren't new.

Yep, most of the major rides in NC are not even listed. Here's a fairly comprehensive list for the whole state (it's missing a few BIG ones)

http://www.ncdot.org/transit/bicycle/events/events_calendar.html

and then here is a pretty good 'high country' list.
