They finally aired the cycling episode of Me vs Me - its a show on the Fine Living channel that is pretty much and advertising vehicle for Chris Carmichael, but the premise is that they take an person who likes to do a particular sport, but isn't very good at it , they give them all the best gear and some private coaching and see if they can turn it around for them. The whole series was filmed around here with local folks and the cycling episode person's challenge was to do the Mt. Baker Hillclimb. They told us all about it and that the film crew would be there (so watch out for their car etc.) and we've been waiting ever since to see if we were in it or not and how good the publicity for the race would be. It was finally on last night and I got my several seconds in as the little teal and chartuse blob climbing along in the background. We think we spotted the hubby once or twice and defintely saw some of his team mates at the roll out. Kind of fun to see yourself on sorta national television. I think I ended up in it for a few recognisable seconds because I actually passed the guy at some point. He was ahead of me at the very beginning, but right after the time I saw myself I must have passed him by since I finished about 5 min ahead of him. Next up our Indie film debut. There is a guy following the amateur racing scene here in Seattle making a documentary called Start to Finish about what it like as a novice bicycle race with a job and a family. He's following a handful of new people with the hopes that he gets a variety of sucessful and not so sucessful stories.
