Hey all! I've been lurking for a few weeks and it's nice getting answers to some questions I've had.
Let me introduce myself. I'm a stay-at-home mom to 3 kids. My youngest is in kindergarten so I'm actually getting more time to myself and I've been able to ride a fair amount! Yeah! I'm a roadie (too chicken for a mountain bike!), but I've only been riding since this past October. My dh is a roadie and wanted me to ride with him, so he bought me a bike. It's a Windsor Knight with 105. I love it! I try to ride outside 2-3 days/week and on the trainer 2 days/week. Dh and I also try to fit in a longer ride on Saturdays, when the weather holds!

Ok, on to my "personal" question: For comfort, what is the best thing to do "down there", as far as hair goes? Wax, shave, leave it alone? If waxing, brazilian, french bikini? I've been a bit uncomfortable (not too bad, though) and I'm trying to figure out if making a change will help. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks and I look forward to getting to know you better!

there is lots of hair do discussion in the tips section.

as to what's best for saddle sore prevention the jury seems to be out.

I finally went the laser hair removal route. (not completely but did get everything between my leg and labia). I had been getting ingrown hair cysts from shaving and it was a real pain in the you know where. It also stopped the pulling that was also uncomfortable. This is not an inexpensive route but it seems to be working. (Not to bad for bathing suit weather either :D )

a good place to start, the "Read me First" of the to shave or not to shave debate:

Chamois butter works wonders. My husband always gets a laugh though when I first pull on my shorts because I am just completely disgusted with the cold, wet slimy feel. Yick. However, within a few moments it warms right up and I'm okay. I never thought I'd like the stuff but it keeps things from sticking and I think that helps with the saddle sores.

As for shaved, I've got the 70/90 split :D I've found if I get lazy and don't shave every day or so, it makes things worse.

I don't do anything - matter of fact in the winter I don't shave anything but my pits! (shhhhh its just our secret!) My question to you would be - is it a question of saddle soreness more than hair related?? there are threads all Over here that deal with both as Irulan said and most of the issue seems to be saddle soreness/break in.
