... this has some language your teacher would send you to the office for, but http://istanbultea.typepad.com/largefellaonabike/ has a great blog entry for today. "WHat's it feel like whenyou bike?"
And the one before that gives his statistics - like his first ride of last year, that was 1.9 miles and took 2 hours.
Yea, he's a cyclist :-)

What gets me the most, what I really love, what I'll stay out for hours to find though... is "Rhythm". That unreal feeling where the bike feels no longer like a Bike, it melds into me and almost knows what I'm going to do before I think it, realize it, intend it, act on it... it's Strong, Powerful, Affirming, Life-Changing, Omnipotent, Micro, Universal and most of all:
Me.
Awesome.
That is fantastic Sue! Makes me re-think my thoughts that I'm too big to ride much or ride well.

Thanks, Sue. I'm planning a blog entry that his post will be perfect to link to. I want to encourage all those (like me) who aren't skinny-minnies.

Sue, thank you so much for posting that link. I read several entries of Large Fella's blog and added it to my Favorites. Dude's got some serious piss'n'vinegar in him ;)

That would be me, guilty of chronic "Potty Mouth". Apologies for any & all offenses, trust me: my Mom wouldn't approve either. :o
Just wanted to pop in and throw a big [errr, Large?] "Thank You" for the kind words and support.
The bike-blog community is pretty super in my estimate.
Ok, I'll split now... I know how my wife feels when I walk into a Chick-Hang of hers [polite smiles, nervous laughter, hands covering yawns and much looking at wristwatches].
But... sincerely, thanks much!

Hey LF! Welcome and thanks for dropping in. I really appreciate your blog, it points out that not everyone in the cycling community starts out super fit and in top form...it's a process.
