Berta upon figuring out that her wayward daughter is secretly seeing straight laced Allen (who is someone with an "indoor job that is not illegal"), she delightfully remarks:

Well this one's not from a movie; it's from a novel, but I've always loved it.

One woman complains to another that the tea is awfully strong and then:

"When I makes tea, I makes tea, and when I makes water, I makes water.
Well, I hope you don't make them in the same pot!"

Yeah, I know, it's dopey, but it cracks me up every time.
