Pardon me if I'm asking something that seems obvious to everyone, but...
I must have missed something somewhere. What does "DH" mean? I've figured out it's your significant other, but what do the letters stand for?

Dear Husband...but my version is sometimes...designated husband...don't know why, but anytime someone writes DH, that is what I think of.....
I've assumed it means "Dear Hubby" but in my mind it always reads "Designated Hitter". ;)

Thanks. I was coming up with stuff like "dearest honey" and "da homey". I think I have a mental block against "husband". :p

Depending upon the day, DH is either Domestic Helper or Domestic Hinderance! :D
...english is not my mother language, and I thought it means DARLINGH... but as I'm writing it now, I realised that it should be written wthout H. Guess spelling is not my best side :o

iFKA...I would hazard a guess and say your command of the english language is far superior to 99% of most of the TE'ers grasp of your native language (I'm so bad that I don't even know what the language of Croatia is). ;)

Having grown up in Alabama, I was 13 before I knew that "Damn" and "Yankee" were two separate words:D

I traveled Yugoslavia quite a bit in the early 70's (we lived in Aviano Italy at the time). Your country is truly amazing!

I'm glad you liked it. :D We are very proud of its natural beauty. Too shame it can't be said for our state leaders and economy. You should come and visit us again, it changed quite a lot since that period.

Don't be embarrassed, iFKA; we all feel the same way about our politicians!

Seeing as how we are a bike forum, it could also be used for down hill. As in "I'm thinking that I will need my dh bike instead of my xc for that trail"...
dh= downhill, xc= cross country - 2 of among many "breeds" of mountain bikes...

How do we distinguish Dear Dog from Dear Daughter?
Or Dear Son from Dear Snake?
Or Dear Partner from Dear Pigeon?
I could get confused about DD. Mimi could get confused about DS. Nanci could get confused about DP.
