Well, now there are 14 of us Team Estrogen people participating in the challenge. and believe it or not, JuJu is in the lead and yours truly and five_one are tied for second place (but that won't last!).

Team Estrogen represents almost exactly half the people in the competition!
how cool is that?

Team Estrogen has a great opportunity to come in first and last, both!

(I'll bring up the rear and control "last" for us!)

What's the link? I need to bookmark it.

I thought I had signed up several days ago...but it appears to be modified slightly so that you have to declare the 2007 2500 mile race as your "club" to be tracked. So, I signed on to that club (in addition to TE) and it is now tracking my puny mileage, too!

uh oh -- how do I do that?

Okay, I did it -- but is your primary club the only one that gets the miles?

I don't think it matters. I have TE as my "primary" yet my mileage still showed up in the 2007 - 2500 mile race club list.

Would you post a link to the race results, please? Thanks!

Ah... warm weather and a nice long ride today just catapulted me to the top of the TE ranks! (I'm still only #3 overall though).

Let's see how much we all shift rankings tomorrow! ;)

Good work GLC, and now there are seventeen of us! (and one is private)

we are going to RULE. I hope you win GLC! (or one of us TE girls anyway)

Ahh, how fleeting is glory.;)
We're certainly showing our TE colors--look at all the TE members! Knock 'em dead, GLC!

Don't look now, but TE is winning the challenge, KayTee, who rides an IF bike in Virginia, presently has more miles than ANYONE; and there are 40 people signed up now, 19 are from TE YIPPEE!!

I got sort of confused about the club thing on BikeJ, though. First I put my primary club as the 2500 mile race, then decided to change it to TE. I also joined my own local club, but since it seems that no one who signed up is using BikeJ, decided not to call that primary. is my understanding correct that as long as you're signed up for the 2500 mile club, it'll count your miles no matter which club you designate as primary? This is my first experience with BikeJ. Great way to track progress!

I hope we don't get rained out of today's ride :(

Kay Tee, looks like you did it just right, and I hope you don't get rained out either because you're our champion! :D :D

OK, I just saw the other thread (not a morning person!) - of course this group always has great answers. Thanks, Ladies. I will keep my primary club affiliation on BJ with TE. Go, TE!

Am I posting my mileage incorrectly? I have signed up for the challenged...First put TE as my primary club and have since changed it to 2007 - 2500 mile race club. I go to Journal, add ride. I have done 28 miles on my trainer since last week. It shows up in my journal, but doesn't show up anywhere else. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated:o

There is a spot in your profile where it is default checked to not include indoor rides. You need to uncheck that.

Btw, I just added the 2500 mile club.

Well... I wanted to join this race, but the rules on bikejournal say you must never have done 2500 miles in a year before...

Although my 2006 goal was 3500km/2187miles... I actually rode just over 4000km which is just over 2500miles.

Good luck you 14... I would have liked to have been #15!

I just noticed that Team Estrogen club is #5 in the club ratings on BJ right now!

(Sad that I just barely do not qualitfy for the 2500 race, but at least my miles in general go towards TE club's overall miles. I'll be one of the 2500 race cheerleaders!! :p )

Well, I should have had my coffee and read the rules closer before I joined the 2500 mile race yesterday (or whenever). I've exceeded that before so do not qualify. Sorry, girls! I'm passing the 2500-mile baton now to No. 2, Regina (go 7Rider!), and transferring my miles to TE's total. Just got back from our ride today and didn't get rained on until we were almost home. So a good day anyway.

There's another option for Those of Us who have too many miles in our past: the "Valentine's Day" goal of getting 400 miles by then. (Of course, where you live has a lot to do with how attainable that is.) It's not a race - just a mutual goal. Everybody's allowed, and a lot of eople have jumped on even tho' it's a long shot.

KayTee

Thanks, Geonz, I will def check that out.

Yikes, seeing that big fat zero beside my name is certainly going to get me on that trainer. I've been out of town but going to get riding asap. Go TE!!!

Can someone explain to me how I get my miles to count for both TE and the race. When I affiliate to TE they show up in the TE list but not the Race and vice versa. Is this what is supposed to happen or am I just being dense (wouldn't be the first time).

Is it worth being a premier member (at the very least to give something back)?

li10up

I signed up for the TE Club and the 2500 mile club but my miles only show up under the 2500 mile club. The 2500 mile club shows me in 2nd place but I'm not sure that's correct. Same question as fritter...how do I get them to show up for both?

lph
01-08-2007, 06:11 AM
Wheee! :p

I'm in - and in 2nd place :D

kelownagirl

Well I have TE as my primary club and several others, like the 2500 mile club, as additional ones. That's the first thing you have to do. Also, if you want trainer miles to show up, go to your profile and make sure that box is checked/unchecked - whichever.

I like being a premier member because I can do lots of filters on my journal and check out various stats. ie. mtbike versus road, hills versus flats, all my rides on a certain route etc. Plus I get the cute yellow jersey by my name. :)

wow! there are now 27 Team Estrogen contestants in this race.

LPH is third place over all, and is leading the women, with li10up right behind her!

And you also look (I peeked, on BJ) just like one of my sons teachers at school. She's very nice, too :)

Most everyone has a negative or positive number in parentheses underneath their total distance. What does that number represent?

mimitabby
01-30-2007, 10:00 AM
i don't know. i don't see those numbers. maybe you don't "count" indoor miles?

light_sabe_r
01-30-2007, 01:14 PM
Depends on where you're looking. If it's in the individual stats or on the front page, it indicates how many miles (or km) they are ahead (positive) or behind (negative) your mileage.
