Hey what's the difference between bikes labeled cro-moly vs steel?

I mean, they seem to be used interchangeably but cro-moly is a specific alloy isn't it? Or is it really used interchangeably?

What's the diff in ride quality and durability? Any other differences?

Cro-moly is a steel alloy containing chromium and molybdenum. There are actually many variations of this.

Thanks Trek. That was interesting. Makes me want a Torelli now.
