Has anyone else heard of this?
It's reportedly national this year. We (Dallas, TX Area) started this last year locally due to a well known rider being hit from behind and killed by a school bus driver. We are doing it again this year but it's national this time.
Cycilists are meeting in Dallas @White Rock Lake and in Ft Worth (unsure of where) along with other cities @7 pm for a single lap in silence around the lake (or other venues for a l lap thing) in respect for all riders who have died, been injured, or harrassed by drivers. I think we had, last year, nearly l,000 riders & no publicity. This year, who knows? But I just wanted to see if this movement was known outside of us here in Texas...
