I was at the shop yesterday and decided to have some sport beans before my ride. I was looking at the box of beans and the picture and all of a sudden, oh my gosh, i couldn't believe the picture. Is it me, or does the bean picture look a little, ummm, masculine??? Next time you eat some bean, check out the picture. I can't eat them without laughing!

We happened to have a couple of bags of beans in a bowl on our kitchen table during dinner.
DH said "it looks like one of those cartoon weenies".

I always wonder if it's an accident, or if the guys (or gals) that package this stuff know what they are doing.

Actually, DH and I went on a fun trip to NYC (where I grew up) last summer. We visited several funky messenger bike shops/garages, and caught a cabaret show where a friend of ours was singing. But we also went to the very "high tone" Museum of Sex right on 5th ave:
http://museumofsex.com/
Suffice it to say you can't be a prude and go in there, but they have all kinds of wonderful exhibits including Victorian contraptions (both to encourage and discourage sex!), ancient Japanese prints, inventions and machines, funny stuff, etc. It was more fun than a barrel of monkeys!
I found it amusing that inside the museum, lots of women were taking pictures of the exhibits, like they were going to show their friends back home how outrageous NY was. The men were just looking however- not taking pictures. Um, perhaps they had seen such stuff before?
Best of all was the tank top I got there, black with glitter letters saying "Museum of Sex, NYC". I wear it biking in the hot weather- always makes people in our little rural town here laugh. ;)

The Jelly Belly Factory is not too far from my daughter's apartment. I think I'll have to go for one of their tours someday and find out the story behind the Sport Bean packaging.

Which factory?????? We do a Cinderella training ride to the Jelly Belly Factory here in California every spring. It's quite fun. Tours can be arranged.:p :p :p
FYI- Jelly Belly even has a professional cycling team - I met them last year on Stage 2 of the Amgen Tour. :D :D :D

The one in my area is in Pleasant Prairie, WI. I think this location is more of a warehouse-distribution center than an actual production factory.
