We're at our condo in Summit County and today we were planning on going back to our home near Denver. However, we can't get there! Too bad!
Instead, we're going to ski Copper. The road conditions in the mtns aren't as bad as Denver.
We had 26.5" of snow in Lakewood and it sounds like our power is out.
Since all the schools are closed the Mayor of Denver is hosting a "sled riding party" for the kids!:)

I just can't imagine that much snow! Why are the kids still in school anyway- lol. Our schools got our for break yesterday. :)
We had a measly 4-6 inches of snow a few weeks ago, and the city shut down for 2 days (of course, we are nowhere near prepared to handle winter precip around here).
Wow- 27"- incredible!!! Enjoy Copper Mtn! We hiked up Wheeler Pass a couple years ago. Beautiful country up there!!!! :)

It could be a lot worse! I love to get stranded because of snow What a treat
You guys go the same storm we did, but we only got a couple of inches and you got a couple of feet.
I am so JEALOUS!

AAAAHHHH! Here in the northeast, we have yet to have much of any snow, let alone a good storm! It really doesn't feel like Christmas is coming - the temps are in the 40s here, and I was planting bulbs last weekend  .
I'm headed up to my house in Maine this weekend for the holiday. Will be skiing on manmade snow, and looking at my brand new snowmobile sitting in the trailer.....
Enjoy - I'm JEALOUS!

I too am dreaming of a white Christmas but it does not look like we will be treated to the white stuff this year:mad: I guess I shouldn't wish too hard for I may find myself stuck at home away from my family if the roads were to be snowed covered. Maybe I'll delay my wish for the white stuff until we are back in school for I love snow days!
Enjoy the snow, enjoy the skiing, and have a wonderful holiday season!

I got two days off of work, 21 inches of snow to shovel. The dogs had a blast. It might be a while before I can ride my bike . . .

Kathi, Anika, & all the other TE girls in CO - lucky you! That's what they make trainers for. As my son (who lives in Denver but has a house in Breck) said, Summit has a few roads and lots of snow removal equipment; Denver has lots of roads and not much equipment. That explains it! I heard you might be getting more in the next day or so, too. Enjoy!

You keep the snow out West. That suits me just fine.
