Ha! I forgot that Silver's husband was posting for her. So, when I first looked at the post and picture, I thought Silver was posting a picture of her husband - the Trek in the photo! I mean, I love my bikes too...

Fabulous-looking bike! I don't often post on this forum, but I just had to tell you how much I like the looks of this Trek. Mine is not as handsome, but I still love it.

*shakes head*
What am I going to do with him!
Well, do let me tell you that HE decorated the tree and HE bought me the bike while I was still in the hospital. He's a good one, that Mr. Silver!!!!
I have ridden the Madone! Friday 20 miles and Sunday 25 miles. I was very tentative at first but am getting more confident. I still don't like the ultegra pedals but I didn't fall over and am getting a little more used to them. The bike needed some adjustments and so I took it to the bike shop today. Hopefully I can ride a bit tomorrow to check out how it rides with the adjustments. I do love the Madone and I love riding!!! It's so good to be riding again!!!!!!
I have been very busy when not riding trying to catch up pn my jewelry orders that I wasn't able to do after my accident.
You all have been such an encouragement to me!! thank you, te!!!

Silver, so glad you are back in the saddle.
Mr. Silver, what year is that? I used to have a white 450sl, think a 78. They are the coolest cars. but only the older ones. the newer ones don't look near as good.

I can answer that....(Mrs. speaking) it's a 1969 280SL It's lovely but unfortunately in the shop right now.
silver

Yes, it is a '69. Yes, it's been in the shop for 10 weeks for "annual winter repairs"...but she may be home before Christmas after I ransom her from the mechanic.
Here's the sad part...it qualifies for "ANTIQUE Car Insurance" :)
:( :( :( It's younger than me :( :( :(

We have a yellow 1975 220 d diesel. Hubby found it down the road a few years back and found the owner.offered him less than $1000 for it, brought it home on a flatbed, went through everything(it had a brand new engine-also a 4 speed stickshift) and now he drives it to work everyday and gets the best gas mileage of all the cars. It was a good find. The older ones are the best, they have personality. That red one is gorgeous :)
WOW! Sliver... you look great! After all you went through, you look healthy and happy... even if you aren't feeling 100%.
Nice bike and tree!

Silver - that is one hot bike! I hope you end up loving it more than the one that passed (if you don't already)...........
...........as far as the red zoomzoom goes, I've got plenty of room to babysit it should it ever become a bother ;)
