Campbell's brought back Tomato Bisque! Yumm.
Especially since a lot of the tomatoes probably came from fields I ride by several days a week.
Taste of my childhood.

Thom took today off. We made a quiche! :) It had a potato crust made from hash browns, sausage, onions, peppers and tomato, plus eggs and heavy cream. It was pretty good.

What? No fungus?

Hey - it's a quiche at least. No the recipe didn't call for any fungi.

Egg nog - the new recovery drink of choice in my household. :)

If there are Egg Nog drinkers on here that like coffee, may I suggest that
they try using eggnog to replace the cream . . . . Christmas Coffee!

Eggnog lattes are the only reason I go to Starbucks. This serves the double purpose of limiting my caffeine intake and coffee budget to a month or two a year of excess.
How is the tomatoe bisque different than other Campbells Tomato Soup? I grew up loving the other one, but that may have had something to do with the 1/2 a cube of butter my grandparents would melt into it.

Butter in tomato soup. I'm going to have to think about that one.
Bisque has tiny little lumps of tomato. I think it is also a little richer but that could just be wishful thinking.

Hmm, just ran off to check the nutrition info. A half-cup serving of plain tomato soup made with water  has 0 grams of fat. The bisque has 3.5 grams. Guess the butter makes sense. We use 1% milk and kind of skimp on that.

OH my gosh I am so excited. I love that soup. I noticed I could not find it and had to settle for the regular tomato. Any ideas why it disappeared in the first place?
PS going to the store after work - hopefully they are stocked up on the soup!

Love Campbell's tomato soup. Regular or bisque. It has to be made with milk. My father used to put a pat of butter in ours, too. Yummy. We also used to float oyster crackers to the soup until they got nice and soggy. Brings back cold winter days in Colorado. I can almost smell the wet wool mittens :D .

Trader joe's roasted red pepper and tomatoe soup! You will never go back to cambell's.

Gotta agree with Brandi on that one - the TJ's roasted red pepper and tomato soup is SO good! And the container is great - pour out a cup or whatever at a time.
And I love egg nog in coffee - but try Silk soy nog some time. I wouldn't drink soy egg nog plain (blech!) but we have soy lattes in the morning, and this time of year I switch to the silk nog latte instead of plain. It is great and much healthier than regular egg nog.

Have gone to the store and gotten my soup - thanks Sadie for the tip. Will be making me a grill cheese and soup today for lunch after my ride! Can't wait!
