I just got these from TE. http://www.teamestrogen.com/products.asp?pID=22010

First off, they look a little different than the picture; there is no annoying "HIND" logo on the hip.

The fabric is soft and warm and light. I tried these on with bare legs and with my Medalist tights, they are great. I think they'll be warm enough most of the Seattle winter without the tights underneath. The fabric has a brushed feel to it but not overly fuzzy. The pants don't seem to be picking up any dog hair, and believe me there's plenty of loose dog hair in my house! Nice and stretchy, no binding/tightness when I move.

The tailoring... ah, let's talk about the tailoring!
I'm 5'8 and 145lbs. I ordered the Large in Long length. Hot Doggies! The length is perfect! No cold ankles for me!

The ankle zippers need to be OPEN to get these on or off, but I have no fear that the legs will catch when I run or snag my chainring on the bike.

Nice zippered pockets. Shallow (why do women's pockets always seem to be shallow?) but nice, and the zippers are placed along the seam in a way that doesn't bulk up the hips.

Elastic waist with an inside drawstring. I like the fact that the drawstring isn't one of those slippery little woven things that comes untied the second you take a deep breath. This puppy stays tied! The waist is that perfect low rise (on me anyway) that is so hard for me to find: below my belly-button in front, but just above my hipbones at the sides. Very comfortable and doesn't feel like it's gonna slide off.

And maybe best of all: the way these pants drape, they make my butt look SMALLER!!!!

These will work fine running, biking, lazing around the house, and I'd even wear them out in public. <cuz they make my butt look *cute*>

shouldn't the HIND logo be on the b*tt? :D

.... "<...they make my butt look *cute*>"

ahem, does not take much to do that :)

First Run In the New Pants

This morning I went on my first run wearing my new Hind Munich pants. It was kinda chilly, enough that I should've worn gloves and my ears and nose got cold.

I wore the Medalist tights under the Hinds, just because I didn't want to get too cold. My legs stayed very warm, and really I probably would've been just fine without the tights underneath.

I *REALLY* like the Munich pants for running. Not one complaint have I. My usual running pants are a pair of Adidas with a similar cut. I like the Hinds better, they don't swish around like the Adidas and the fabric isn't clammy like the Adidas.

And the Hind Munichs make my butt look smaller. :p (hey, I have my priorities!)

Post-run I did my stretching on my carpeted livingroom floor, and once again the brushed fabric of the Hinds failed to pick up lint or dog hair.

Pants that don't announce my appalling housekeeping shortcomings to all and sundry! gotta love that!

Are they a tight fit? Tight like or more like athletic pants? Are they made from a swishy material?

And the Hind Munichs make my butt look smaller. :p

Have you considered the possibility that your butt actually IS smaller, and it's just that other pants make it look bigger than it actually is?

Lisa, I LIKE the way you think!

They are a cross between a tight and a pant. Snug at the hips and buns, then looser (but not LOOSE) at the thighs and legs. It's the snugness that makes the butt look smaller and gives it a certain perky quality.

And I do think it's the tailoring, and not my butt shrinking. I look just as flabby-cheeked as always in my Levis today. Darn.

The fabric isn't swishy or slippery. It's a very soft brushed knit, kind of like a cotton t-shirt but much cozier. Or like an Ibex wool t-shirt. Yeah, I guess the closest comparison I can make is that the fabric is like an Ibex mid-weight shirt or boxer.
