I have Sugoi Lycra running pants. They are great but I read somewhere that pants with a lot of stitching/seams in the legs are better to support your muscles. I can't seem to find any. Does anyone know where on the internet I can find some?

TE carries CW-X, you may want to check them out. Here is a linkt to one: http://www.teamestrogen.com/products.asp?pID=22509

I recently read some arguments for and against the need for all the stitching, but cannot recall which running journal it was.

My all time favourite tights to run in are Under Armour Frosty Tights. Not a lot of stitching and awesome compression. I am hoping for another pair for Christmas.

My second favourite are: Sugoi's MidZero Flex Tight

Personally, I prefer seamless or flat seams as I want to avoid any friction on my skin.

Also, search through http://www.roadrunnersports.com/

I started wearing the CW-X tights under my ski pants last year. I tele ski, so it's really quad intensive. For me, there was a noticable difference in fatigue level; I was able to ski longer (each day) than I had been able to without the tights.

Now this may be because (1) I knew I had them on and therefore believed they were doing something, (2) I was just getting in better shape, or (3) they actually did something. I don't know the real answer. I do like the way they feel though; they are very supportive and for quad-dominant folks like me (another way of saying "thunder thighs" :p ), that's a plus. It won't hurt to try a pair if you have the $. They are very well made and I would certainly buy another pair.

I just got some of the CW-X shorts from Sierra Trading Post but it's been too cold to wear them running. I have everything from Target Boutique knickers to the Hind Peak to Peak pant. Usually I get too warm in the Peak to Peak and just wear the standard Adidas running pant (not a tight) or the Brooks dryline tights. For me, the thinner the better; my main concern is having my knees covered.

I do like the CW-X tights, I believe my muscles felt more "supported" when I wore them. The seams in the thighs frayed, though, and I was wearing thin Adidas lycra tights instead, which felt fine but less supportive. It could all be in my head, but it felt like my muscles were "pushing" against something in the CW-X tights. My knees also felt pretty well supported (I have the 3/4 length).

They are spendy, but nice. I would wear them skiing, but I really like the 1-piece compression suit (made locally) so I don't have to worry about tucking in and overlapping and all that :)

Yesss I finally found them. They are Cannondale L.E. Carbon tights. Now if only I can find a store in New Brunswick that sell them, then I'm off to the races (pardon the pun)!
