(IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER)
My DH, who is my best friend;
My family and my in-laws (and especially for my Grammy);
My animals: Baxter Black, Ranya, Athena, Edgar, Zaboo, Frank and Barak;
My close-knit town and community;
My bike, and the freedom to ride it;
My house and barn... and the feeling of responsibility being a "custodian" of a home that is over 230 years old;
My ability to weave and be an artist in my own small way;
The loving memories I have of friends and family who have died;
The luxury of hot running water, of food when I want it, and the freedom to work at a job I enjoy;
I'm thankful that, as I continue pondering, I am finding more and more for which I am thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

my two healthy sassy sons

homeless.
I'm thankful for my health and the fact that i have nice bikes to ride
and a warm DRY house

month EVER to fall there (measured)

Awwww... such great things to be thankful for. Thanks for sharing, ladies! :)
I second what was mentioned above, and I also want to add that I'm thankful for the ability of my body to move freely (whether it be swimming, running or biking). So many can't move easily and freely and I'm glad my body lets me be as mobile as I wanna be!

I'm thankful for:
...My husband, who works hard to make my life of leisure possible, and who never complains about what I spend money on or why, even when it's a brand new '07 Honda Element.
...My three sons.
...My daughter-in-law married to my eldest, my daughter-of-my-heart who loves my middle son, and that little girl somewhere that I hope loves baseball, cycling and Star Wars as much as my youngest son/her future husband.
...My grandson born 10 weeks early and who is not really supposed to be here
...That his daddy returned from Iraq safe-and-sound and may never have to go back
...My Daddy who cracks me up
...My Mom, even though she drives me to distraction
...My 110-year-old house and all its quirks
...the opportunity to count my blessings like this

I am thankful for my hubby; who gave me the strength to accept who I am and who makes me a better person just by being in my life.
I am thankful for my health and for everyday that I wake to a new sunrise.
I am thankful to have lived the life I have lived thus far; the good and the bad; because it made me who I am today.
I am thankful for my family and for their perseverance thru the hard times; and I pray for their healing.
I am thankful for my "sanity"..........

My health, sure I've got some aches and pains but any day above ground...good! :D My family, we're a pretty cool group and the fact we love one another and get along...fantastic. :D My girl, you know who you are. :D My dog, she really tries to be the best she can be and she's come so far. I thank her for agreeing to be "my dog". :D My friends both IRL and cyber and the ones I've met here that I may never meet. :D This, the best dang place in Cyberspace. Long live TE TD :D My small, comfy, sturdy roof over my head...someday it'll look...acceptable. :D My bikes but for that I have to thank Chris and Tim my mechanics, I could not do this without you guys. :D All the people who voted, don't care how you voted ~ just that you did :D

Happy Thanksgiving american friends!!!
(Although I'm clueless about what the holiday is actually about?? Turkey???)
(Although I'm clueless about what the holiday is actually about?? Turkey???)
Giving thanks (the Lord or entities of your choice, I guess) for the harvest (and others good things of life) has always been my understanding. We have the same holiday in Canada but earlier (because there is frost earlier here...).
Happy Thanksgiving to all our American TEers!
Happy Thanksgiving, my dear TE American friends!
I'm thankful for (in no particular order)
this wonderful home that the universe held onto for us while DH worked so hard to sell the old house;
for my great new job that is so full of challenges and opportunities and great supportive people who let me shine, and who I am happy to help;
my DH - I have no idea who I would be without him these 23 years;
my wonderful furry kids: Ted, 'Cuda, Diva and Otto...and my rainbow kid Yogi;
my eye, and the camera that lets others see what it sees;
this physical difficulty I'm trying to work through as it helps me to slow down and listen to my body better, and to learn to love and accept it even when it isn't fit strong and fast;
medical benefits;
wine;
roses;
swans;
3m flags;
the TE friends that remind me of how wonderful people can be;
my new photo customers;
plumbing school for DH;
the bikes!! (I know you'll be ready for me when my body is ready for you again);
the dark starry sky when I rise to do yoga;
the comforts of home
I'd better stop now, you all get the idea!
Hugs and butterflies to everyone,
~T~
Things I am thankful for....
Waking up every day
Being physically able to ride my bike

I'm thankful for many things, of course, but this Thanksgiving, I am especially thankful that our 14.5-year old Boston Terrier, Pepper, turned up way down the road in a neighbor's garage after she ran off during a walk yesterday at dusk with my DH. She slid out of her harness after getting wrapped around a tree (on a Flexi-lead), it got dark and started pouring, and DH and I spent an hour in the cold, dark rain searching for her all over our wooded 11 acres, the horse trails behind it, the road, thinking she might die out there the very night before Thanksgiving. Couldn't call to her because she's stone deaf, along with being night-blind, and the rain prevented us from hearing her running around.
I am thankful for kind neighbors and for my Pepper being alive on this day.

Thanks, she did! I think she'd forgotten the ordeal within 10 minutes of getting home and getting dry, though. Dogs certainly live in the moment!
