Hey ladies,

Anybody have a good affordably priced ($40-$60) long sleeve jersey they would recommend? I was looking in TE & see a some, but quite frankly am feeling overwhelmed a bit:o I've decided that I don't like the concept of arm warmers-yet I do like using my knee warmers!

Again, it doesn't get super cold over here-but with my new night ride group, I can expect a couple of mid-40's nights when a ls jersey can come in handy.

I just bought the Cannondale Featherweight jersey (http://www.teamestrogen.com/products.asp?pID=21733) from TE a couple weeks ago, and really like it. I'm in Houston, so I think we're pretty much the same climate. I've worn it on a couple 55-60 degree morning rides and a couple commutes, and it's been great for both. Since it's a lightweight fabric, it feels warm enough in the morning without being too hot by afternoon. I doubt that I would wear it through a TX summer, but it's turning out to be excellent for fall. It also has some reflective accents, for extra visibility during those night rides. The price ($55) is close to your high end, but it's been worth the money in my experience.

A note on fit--it says competition fit, and it's definitely form-fitting, but it's roomier than I thought it would be. The arms in particular, which my, um, matronly upper arms surely appreciate. I've found that all my Cannondale jerseys run bigger than other brands...that's one of the reasons I like them so much. :D

ETA: Oh, I was also going to mention...what also works well in this climate are Under Armour long sleeve tees (http://www.underarmour.com/ProductDetail.cfm?site_id=2&dept_id=7&coll_id=2105&pf_id=1001232), worn under a regular sleeveless or short-sleeve jersey. I only have the one LS jersey, and ride 3-4x a week, so these are nice for layering on those colder mornings. They also have the advantage of being removable when the weather warms up throughout the day, which is handy for commuting this time of year.

Hey there,
There's always ebay (here's the link to one I like: http://stores.ebay.com/Your-Sole-Quest), sierra trading post, rei, nashbar and performance are all good too.

Happy shopping!

This is a reallly comfortable shirt from REI, for 50 cents less than your price range! It's not specifically a bike jersey, but it does have a tiny zip pocket on the side. This shirt doesn't run small at all, like some bike jerseys do.

This turns all your short sleeved jerseys into long sleeved jerseys. In the winter I often wear mine under my jersey because I know I won't be taking it off. It has been discussed here many times. Try searching "bolero".
