knit pattern for leg/arm warmers (sleeves)?

Does anyone have simple patterns to knit leg/arm warmers (sleeves) and or a bolero? I would prefer a pattern to knit in the round. Thanks, lauren

I forgot to ask why you would want to steek a bolero. I understand the warmers in the round, but the bolero?

You could knit a bolero from wrist to wrist so the only part that is back and forth is the torso section. For set in sleeves, you can always pick up at the arm hole and knit in the round from shoulder to wrist.

I was asking about the circular pattern more for the leg warmers than the bolero. But your suggestion would definitely work. Have to get back to the knitting program and finish a project or two before i start this one!

I've made several wrist warmers and what I do is.....cast on the number of stitches for any mitten pattern. I, then, do a ribbing stitch (k2p2) except for down the middle of the hand....and that I do in a cable stitch. When I reach the desired length of the wrist warmer, I simply bind off and sew the side seam on my sewing machine leaving a hole for my thumb. THEN I hand (single) crochet a little, subtle lacy pattern at the spot that spans your knuckles. (optional, of course) I hope this isn't too vague.

Many wrist and arm warmer patterns use DP needles and are knitted in the round as you suggest. It's just a matter of preference....straight needles...or DP needles.

Duck on Wheels can knit anything, I believe she could knit a bike ;) :rolleyes: and UK Eliphant is really good at it too.

DoW knit me a pair of wrist length arm warmers, just right for those days that full finger gloves are too much but your arms are still cold. They have a beaded pattern on them...very cute. I'll ask her.
