October 27 rides

It's getting colder. But it gave me a chance to try some new tights. did one of my usual routes, but it looks like I need to some more mileage. maybe next week when I some sun to work with.

Finally got out for a ride again. Have been a bit sluggish this week. I think I was just a bit tired after last week when I did a lot more miles than I have done in a week before. So I granted myself a rest week this week and I think it was a good idea. Went out on my usual quick afternoon loop this afternoon. Only 12 miles but I kept a good pace the whole way and pushed up the little hills without having to use my easier gears. The weather is finally getting more seasonal too, cool and cloudy. I'm actually looking forward to some cold weather riding. If only we could get some snow too....I must be Norwegian or something...

I was feeling Norse (and souse and ease and west) and Celtic today... 46 degrees and drizzling and on the Gazelle it felt delicious. The Gazelle and I will be dining Italian tonight at the Bike Club's Couch Potato Prevention Clinic; tomorrow ... well, if I take it to the Saturday ride then I won't be tempted to go with the faster group and be out too long ;)

A bit warmer this morning at 30 degrees. Still haven't brought out the heavy weight tights yet. I think I will save those for when the snow flies. Nice commuting lately, though.
