... 31 degrees but earband was enough, thankfully, and two layers under the jacket.
I was met in the parking lot by a staff member who apologized profusely for almost hitting me yesterday. Well, it wasn't *that* almost because I'd already forgotten it! She had not seen me at a three-way stop and had gone forward; I remember when she waved and I recognized her, that I thought "I didn't think she would be the type to drive like that!" because she'd just ignored my existence and gone ahead... but it was also so obvious that she was going that I had slowed down to let her through and even wondered if I'd been wrong about who was there first.
She said it was only the yellow that made me visible anyway, so thanks again, Len! (who gave me that jacket)

Went out for a bit of hill repeats today. Wanted to test out my new fleece jersey that arrived in the mail today, but it was too warm. 20C in the middle of October!! Madness! So I headed out in my AV jersey instead. And I'm wearing the new fleece jersey now instead, just to break it in.....it is soooo soft!!!

I did try out my new bike seat which also arrived today. Definitely not an improvement on the old one! I was out for less than an hour but was never comfortable. So when I got home, I put the old one back on and spent some time fiddling with the angle adjustments. Moved it forward a bit more. I think it may be better. I'll give it a week, then head over to the LBS and ask to try all their seats again.

No riding today. Rain all day, jobs piling up on my desk to be dealt with, but also...our little town is having a FILM FESTIVAL, and DH and I bought all-fest tickets!!! :D
Between trying to get some work done and trying to run down to Main St to see every good movie for the next 3 days straight (about 4-5 fabulous independant film each day!), there is no time for bike today!
The one good thing is that our town is mobbed and there's no parking anywhere, BUT... we live about 3 blocks up the hill from the c.1922 theatre on Main St, so we just walk back and forth! (wouldn't want to leave our bikes outside and vulnerable for hours on end).

Movie Time!!!!!! :D

Nice boring ride in. Had a tail wind, so I made it under my usual time. Unfortunately, I will have to fight said wind on the way back. Grr!

Had so much fun on the ride today. Met up with a new TE friend for our first ever ride (hi love2bike!), and mid-ride we ran into another cycling friend. So we spent 30 miles chatting away. I much prefer riding with people than solo. The day was beautiful, wind was enough to make its presence known, and the morning chill was burned off by the sun.

Did a 32 miler. Was a little slow on the hills, but with all the time off the bike lately. it's to be expected.

Thanks so much for the ride! It was one of the best rides I have ever had. It was really fun talking to other women who enjoy cycling as much as I do!

I hope this is the start of Team Estrogen/ St. Louis :)

I think that I have my heart rate monitor figured out. Let me know when you guys can ride again.

Have a great weekend, Patty

Good ride. DH made me mad so I rode 10 miles and never went under 15 mph. That's good for me. I'm still a newbie at all of this. Biking is good for stress release. When I got home, I was happy and calm again.
