This was my first cold ride of the year. Around 37F maybe, and not having ridden at this temp yet this year, I misjudged a bit. Started in tights, a wool jersey, windproof vest, wool skull cap under helmet, and fleece gloves. I go mostly downhill the first 3 miles, and my head and arms were really cold. Stopped to add the helmet cover and a windbreaker, and then I was fine except my fingers. I should have brought the windproof lobster-claw mitts. Anyway, I made it to work without freezing, and even had to remove the helmet cover half way here.
