Today is a really big day here at TE. As some of you know, we are constructing a brand new building to house TE. We are busting out at the seams here in our current warehouse. Our new digs will be much larger. Well, today, they raised the walls (it's a concrete tilt-up building). Here's a couple of photos of the work in progress.

We're VERY excited, and expect to move in January 15th. :)

Terrific news! Will there be a retail area as well or are you continuing to be web-only sales?

Well, sort of a happy medium. We'll have a "will call" option for local customers who want to place their orders on line, then come in to pick up the next day.

We originally planned a 2,500 square foot retail space, with 12,500 square feet of warehouse & office. But construction costs have really gotten out of control in the past few years. As we analyzed the cost to do that entire project we decided we just did not want to bite off quite that much. So we killed the retail space and kept the 12,500 office & warehouse.

We do get alot of requests from local customers for a store. But truthfully, we could never have everything in a store that we have online, just a fraction, as floor space would always be limited. So I can't say whether we will ever go that route or not. Maybe some day.

That totally rocks, Susan! It's gratifying to see a great business doing SO well. Kinda makes me wish I lived in the northwest somewhere.

Hey, how about an online housewarming party? I have no idea how this would be done, but surely there are some imaginative, web-savvy people at TE that could figure out something. I'll bring the virtual champagne! ;)

Look forward to seeing what new things I can buy from TE!

Congratulations Susan, I know first hand the excitement that you are feeling. I have a home/web business. This year a grew out of my home to a retail store (not cycling related).

I wish you much continued success. I do not know of any retail store especially by me that offers the huge selection of womens cycling clothes that you offer.

I don't think any retail space has what TE does or takes the time to make their customers happy the way TE does. Maybe there are others... I keep hoping TE will become an Assos dealer. I'm still waiting on the knickers I ordered on Sept. 17 from another place...

Will the location be near the current one on Alocleck? (Hubby used to work on Alocleck before his company moved to Beaverton)

Congrats Susan! How exciting for you guys. I hope the weather and contractors all behave so you hit your target date with little headaches.

Accepting paypal would be great for me too. I'd spend more money at your place if you did, but for now I'll settle for buying from your ebay auctions. I'm off to pay for my shorts now. Thanks!

Congratulations Susan. You are certainly very deserving. It is so nice to see a women-owned business being so sucessful, and you and this forum have brought pleasure to so many. Thanks for being there for us!!

Just 2 miles away. Take Cornelius Pass North to West Union. Left on West Union (where the Sweet Oregon Grill was before it burned down). Then an immediate left on Mauzey Rd. Mauzey is a deadend. We're on the left.

Hope that helps!

Many many congratulations! :D exciting and scary at the same time I am sure

I love the directions :D they sound like the ones we give around here. "the big 2 story on the corner that used to be yellow before they added the veranda when Mr Jones died and his son bought it"

couldn't resist :p

Jobob, Jeff and I did the populaire on Thanksgiving weekend last year. This is probably the same one. Come prepared to dress warm and dry. We had black ice that morning, and rain later that afternoon. But it's a beautiful ride regardless.

The Grand Lodge is fun. Have you stayed at a McMenamin's before? If not, take the time to wander and enjoy the artwork.

And bring a bathing suit. The outdoor soaking tub is fabulous in the cold weather. Last year we had it all to ourselves after the ride.

Send me a PM before you come. Maybe Jeff & I can do the ride too. :)

Thanks for the tip, Susan ! Nope, never stayed at a McMenamin's before but it looks like a hoot. I see they have a spa there too. Certain people here can vouch for the fact that I luuuuve massages.
