Has anyone ridden the Tour De St. George? I'm considering traveling down but was wondering what others may have thought of the ride in the past.

I went down last year just to see what it was like (I was too new to this biking thing to actually do this ride). It seemed to follow the same course as the Zion Century, which I did last Feb. Zion was an enjoyable ride other than it followed mainly busy highway-type roads. But I only followed so much of the Tour de St. George course, so I could be wrong (I'll have to look up a map).
I am tempted to go down for this one as I am from the St. George area, and always love coming "home". I'll have to check my schedule.

Just looked at the map for this one. Looks like it does a little of the Zion Century and the Cactus Hugger. I loved the Cactus Hugger (other than some cold weather...the route was great)! It does appear that you will be on some busy roads for this one, but it may be worth it to go see gorgeous Snow's Canyon.
I checked my schedule and won't be able to make this one. I'm teaching a Spinning class that day.
If you go, ENJOY!

When is this ride? I need INFORMATION! :p

Did any of you do Heber Valley last weekend? I was planning (kind of) on doing it but plum forgot all about it until about 10 am. Oh well. Next year.

Shoot. I was hoping it was a little later in the month or in November. I don't think I could make the 21st. :(

Is there also a race there that day? I read something on the UT mtn biking forum that seemed to indicate that it was a race. Either that or the guys are joking around and I'm too dense to see it (likely).
