Clipless woes ...

I've been on clipless for awhile now. But every once in a while, in my unfocused mood, I would forget to unclip at some traffic junction and my poor left knee cap would have some "war" stories to tell again. :mad:

So I've been thinking and mulling over this ... My left knee cap is extremely vulnerable ie any incident with the clipless, it would be suffering for at least 1 week. Just wondering if you gals know of any clever invention that protects your knee cap but yet is flexible and comfortable enough for me to cycle and race in.

What about some of the body armor the downhill mtn bikers wear? The knee armor might be just what you're looking for.
