... I just got me two peacock blue backpacks - Christmas is coming and I have nieces... if I can stand to give 'em away :) Usually the stuff at steepandcheap is too weird or high end for me ("only" 100 dollars for a jacket...) - but these are even made in the USA...

Hey Geonz! I posted about the same thing in non-cycling earlier today! What a great find, eh? I don't have anyone to give one to, and, as I already own two Timbuk2 bags, it's nutty to get a third (can you tell I took a hard look at my finances on Friday? ) I love that Steep & Cheap. I got a fabulous Icebreaker long sleeve zip t-neck for ~$30 bucks, normally $100.00. I also got some really nice SmartWool running socks for very cheap. Keep your eye on it. It's not *all* snow boards and $100 jackets! :D

My wallet has been swallowed up by the layers of life for some 4 weeks now ... so the credit card bill was really, really low this month. (If anybody knows any magical incantations... I'm afraid I simply remember putting that little tiny plastic sleeve with the driver's license and ATM and credit card... somewhere... and hearing it gasp "Sue! What are you DOING?!?!? You're going to lose me..." I've only driven twice ...I'm a "temporarily undocumented citizen," I suppose...)

But I memorized that Discover number a long time ago...

I got some shoes last week 'cause they were $32... I think they were designed for professional waterfall climbers or something. They are designed to get wet and then dry - which was really good today! - and, it turns out, are (of course!) better for getting back onto my pedals without slipping when it's wet, too, which is **very** nice in town.

It's probably a good thing for my finances that so much stuff is weird :)
