Can anyone start these threads? I hope so. Rode an easy 26 miles to Bedford on the bike trail. It is sunny and warm for New England. It's my birthday and should have ridden twice my age, or so my sweetie tells me, but having done 50 miles yesterday, I wasn't up to a 90 mile ride today. It will have to wait. I hope we can squeek out a couple more beautiful days for riding before the snow flies. :p

Dh and I went on 17.5 mile ride today. It's fairly cool out for TX and the wind wasn't to awfully strong for a change. It was a good ride. I didn't eat enough this morning though and had to stop several times to rest, (just for a minute) which I usually do not do. Anyway, we pigged out when we go home. We were both starving. We got in such a hurry to try to get a ride in that I just grabbed a banana and he ate a couple of bisquits I think.
Guess, I will learn better. I really need a nap now.

I did my regular commute but this one was interesting. I overtook Professor Ian Fraser on his bike!

If you haven't heard of him, he's the current Australian of the year, and if the name sounds familiar it's because he's the co-creator of the technology which has produced the vaccines against cervical cancer!

When I'd past him I dissmissed it saying "nah, a big famous guy like that wouldn't ride to work..." But he does! In the afternoon I was getting my bike out the same time he did. O_O

Cool! I passed a famous person on my commute today!

Wow. If this doesn't scream out "DESERT" then I don't know what does....this morning when I left for work? 41 degrees. Afternoon when I got out? 80.

Ay-yay-yay!

Found energy to ride after work. Did 15 miles of the infamous five fingers. Steep, steep, steep climbs.

One has a sustained section of 30% including one stretch of 36%. I did that and all the others seated without having to stand. A big deal for me. Yay.

And just as good, my TE order came in!! Hello winter gear!!! :D
