Guys, the Redmond Police Dept. is doing a 2-hour women's personal safety class twice this fall---once this Wed. night at 6:30 and again on Nov. 8, I believe. I read about this after that poor woman was assaulted and killed on the trail near Bellevue CC last year. I've done them before but can't hurt to do it again, so I am going Wed. night. They do have spaces so if you're interested, email them at wpsclasses@redmond.gov. See description at http://redmond.gov/insidecityhall/police/prevention/citizentraining.asp

thanks, Salsa. I don't think I can make the one this Wednesday, but I'll look at the later one.

If you're in the Bay Area and looking for a self defense class (as opposed to a dojo/school) this group enjoys a good reputation for workshops:

cool.

Am I allowed to hit someone without training?

Please?

If you have to....yes. And that leaves you more time to ride. :D

Not your co-workers though ;)

Salsa let us know how it applies to riding.

Sometimes the BG is a little spooky at night with its lack of lighting.

Oh, great, now I get to worry about you...
