Well, despite the buckets of rain...and girls I do mean buckets that fell, we had a great race today. The race is an off road triathlon. The course it tough and pretty technical, and the race draws a lot of folks that are not "mountain bikers" per say. So the mud and slop really favored those of us that spent the mt biking season racing in the mud. It is the third time I have done the race and we had a great day.
I did it with a partner, I rode, we paddled together in a canoe, she ran.
We won the two person female division, and came in 11th over all out of all of the two person teams, male and female. There were 79 two person teams, so my dirt loving friends, that means we beat lots and lots and lots of men!!!!
All that chasing of the guys I did all sumer paid off.
DH and his brother came in 4th over all.
Not bad for a bunch of middle aged folks!!!!
On a separate note, my school flooded yesterday, big time, and I spent three hours in a room with 28 scared 14 year olds...holy cow....
