Brought Lexi for her checkup - gonna be spending some $$$

Lexi wasn't riding so well so I had to bring her in. The derailleurs (sp?) were out of whack and the brakes out of alignment and the back wheel is bent. Did I mention I had a little crash? Just a little one - I can't believe how bad she was hurt! So she got a little tuneup and got her wheel bent back so it's almost good.

She'll be good for the rest of the season but in the spring she needs a back wheel transplant and chain & cogs (or are they called sprockets? the things that wear out with the chain). The wheel's going to be $180 and the new chain and things are going to be another $70 or so. Plus I need to get clipless pedals and shoes.

This bicycling thing aint cheap!

It sure isn't. That's why I have to work! Such a shame. It really cuts into my riding time!
